I got a BA in business administration from Universidad Francisco Marroquín. During that time, I also got a Diploma in Photography from La Fototeca. After graduation I worked as a commercial and fashion photographer.
I also developed a photo reportage called Mujeres Invisibles, which was created as part of a workshop in Fabrica (a communications research centre in Treviso, Italy financed by the Benetton Group). After that I decided to go into filmmaking. Now I have graduated from The London Film School’s MA in Filmmaking. Where I worked on several different projects. Some which went off to be part of many festivals and win awards.
My graduation film Espacios Vacíos (Empty Spaces) is partly a product of my photo reportage Mujeres Invisibles. This short has won awards and been part of many festivals around the world.
I am currently teaching Storytelling at Universidad del Valle de Guatemala and Universidad Francisco Marroquin. While writing future projects and having others in development.
